Dickinson-Wright established itself as a go-to firm to understand how the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement affects North American businesses and industries. In “Part 6” of its USMCA webinar series, I was asked to offer views on how the USMCA is set up to be a “living” agreement.

On July 21, I moderated a Women in International Trade DC all-star panel on “Bringing North American Economic Policy Back,” featuring Consul General of Canada to the southeastern U.S. Nadia Theodore, former adviser to Prime Minister Harper, Andrea vanVugt, and trade and customs lawyer Brenda Cordova from San Luis Potosi in central Mexico.

The wide-ranging policy discussion covered USMCA’s projected impact on FDI, infrastructure planning, and the potential for North American policymakers to collaborate in international forums to achieve WTO reforms and address common concerns with China.
